Uptown Underground, 1.20.17
Upcoming Shows, January 2017
I’ve got two shows in January:
Artists Against Hate, at Uptown Underground in Chicago, kicks off on Inauguration Night (1.20.17). There will be fire spinning, belly dancing, music, magic, and art. The event is 21+. All proceeds will be donated to the ACLU.
You can buy tickets here.
Artistic License, at Studio 659, opens on 1.22.17.
Ice Is Boring
Came the day I was an Emergency Sculpture Correspondent in Chris Yates’ lovely comic.
Ars Memoria
In 2010, I was lucky enough to be part of Deborah Boardman’s exhibition/performance, A Porous Space.
Deborah brought me on to interpret her Faults song into American Sign Language (ASL), which was a massive challenge.
Art Institute of Chicago Performance
On 9/19/2015, I performed (with two other distinguished painting alumni) at the School of the Art Institute’s 150th Anniversary block party in downtown Chicago, IL.
The end result of four hours of live painting was a piece I called The Age of Desire (All of This Could Have Been Yours).
For your listening pleasure, here is the song I played on repeat while performing.
